Get Him to the Greek is a raunchy comedy starring the ever so clever Jonah Hill, and the walking sex machine Russell Brand. The movie starts off with the discussion of Aldous Snow’s (Brand) failure in the music industry after releasing his parallel of Metallica’s St. Anger. Meanwhile, Aaron (Hill) is a mild mannered talent scout at a record company. His boss, Sergio Roma (Sean P. Diddy Combs) is outraged over the losses the company has gone through, and put’s it out there that this company needs new ideas. Aaron proposes that they get Aldous Snow to perform at the Greek Theatre in L.A. for the tenth anniversary of his most memorable performance there. Sergio gives Aaron the chance of his lifetime to meet Snow, and get him to the Greek, hence the name of the movie.
Aaron meet’s up with his girlfriend Daphne (Elisabeth Moss) and tells him all about what has happened, and she retorts with the fact that she received a job offer to work in Seattle. After a fight, Aaron feels separated from her and everyone else, and decides to just do the job. From then on in, the movie becomes terribly impossible, and fun.
We learn what a Geoffrey is, and that “The Clap is like my childhood man...” Hell, the movie’s even worth it because of all the thing’s Comb’s character does, “Aaron where the fuck are you? I’ma kill you!*Smiley Face* =)", All in all Get Him to the Greek is probably one of the most silly and funny movies I have seen this past year. It’s all about fun, Rock and Roll, and becoming a better you, albeit having the time of your life while doing it.
4 Geoffrey's out of 5
Haven't seen it yet but from what I have seen it looks like it would be very funny.
